Potential home?

Continuing our search for the perfect spot, we visited a couple more houses today in the Rayol area.

One of them was absolutely perfect in terms of eye and view appeals and had exactly what we wanted: it was nestled into the hillside, traditional construction, huge living room that opens up onto an equally huge terrace and an unimpeded view of the greenery and the sea. I can see us sipping pastis and eating toast and tapenade with friends until the wee hours of the morning.

On the downside, a bit isolated and very hilly (I may yet have to stop smoking....) A very good point of reference though :)
