Woolly edge

I don't usually use photoshop filters on my pictures but this one seemed to be crying out for a fifties feel that poster edges lends to a picture. I mean wool. Knitting. Totally retro right? Isle of Wight and Woman's Own. Hairnets and patterns.

My daughter and I took the mother / grandmother out for lunch and a bit of shopping. The knit section of hobbycraft as pictured here is seriously overwhelming;  a garish and psychedelic swamping of the senses with colour.

Have been giving my blipping a lot of thought. Is it about trying to be clever and brilliant with your photos or is it about recording your life? No one answer of course, it's whatever you want it to be. Have decided that for me it's a photojournal where I aspire to be constantly improving my photographic technique.

Or is that woolly thinking ....?
