The power of nature

As Sutherland and I were checking out a playpark for suitable trees to climb we came across this one that had split in recent high winds.

You can almost hear the cracking noise it must have made as one side of the tree snapped off and fell to the ground. A bit of a grey and changeable day today - I went to Nairn and took lots of bird pictures but nothing turned out very remarkable so I decided that this image was best of the day.
