Margaree Fish Hatchery.

After lunch Terry and I drove over to Cheticamp to deliver some pottery to the Sunset Gallery - it's about an hour and half drive and we made a couple of stops along the way. We had a short hike through some wooded area, which wasn't very exciting, other than the blackberries we pigged out on! Then we found the fish hatchery! Terry has wanted to visit here for a while with the notion of stocking the pond with rainbow trout, we only have brook trout and they don't grow very large. So we had a lovely wander around the various ponds with fish of all different sizes....some of the salmon were huge....and the brook trout were amazing too...quite large with a lovely redish underbelly. It was at this point that I realised i wanted fish and chips for dinner! So, after making the delivery and having a lovely chat with Linda the owner....we stopped at a lovely place just outside Cheticamp and had a couple of beers and a delicious fish supper....i had sweet potatoe fries with mine!!!

A lovely afternoon and evening just the two of us....which is always a treat at this time of year when we usually have other folks around most of the time. The drive home was quiet and cosy.
