Painted Topshell

Two beautiful dives beside offshore islands to the north and west of Kinlochbervie. The first was a fabulous scenic dive through gullies and canyons with occassional sandy areas inbetween. The vis was excellent so we got the full benefit of the underwater topography.

The second dive was just as good but the wind is starting to blow up now, and is forecast to get worse over the week, so we'll see how much more diving we manage !

This is a Painted Topshell. They're often found on the stems or fronds of kelp, they're delicate and beautifully coloured.
