Taking root
Things got desperate today. I've been lacking focus, understanding and motivation to get my project done. Today my project moved to the floor. Computer, happy lamp, books, pens and paper, tea, all of it on to the floor. I appear to be far more productive sprawled out on a rug and after hunting out some giant peices of paper and mind mapping in various wonderful colours I had plans, I had motivation and I was ready to go. I should have done it ages ago. Still, I'm alot calmer about it now and it means that hopefully I'll be able to work full time between now and hand in date and get something that will resemble a decent pass grade.
This little plant used to live in The Boy's office. It got little light but he tried to care for it as best he could. He'd nip out the flowers to stop it bolting, water it and occassionally give it a good dust. At one point, he returned from a few days away and found the poor thing outside by the wheelie bins. That was it, it was coming home to a family who would neglect love it just as they neglect love all their other house plants. The only space for it was the bathroom windowsill and since being placed in its steamy new home it is sprouting roots along its stems. I wonder if this means I'll need to water it less?
