There Must be a Better Way to Store Shoes

We have recently knocked a wall down in our house and finally I am getting a decent sized utility room. I am looking forward to having space to store all our shoes.
Our 'utility to be' is our present day sitting room. It is a bit wee, as the kids are getting bigger, all 6 on a two person couch is no joke when your watching the x factor. So shorty ( as soon as the TV cable is moved ) we'll have a lovely big sitting room with new couches and I'll have a large utility with a glorious fire place and a toasty warm stove.
