The end of the world

This is a picture of the programme from last night's debacle of a game between Aberdeen and East Fife. The part time, bottom of the second division team who knocked us out of the cup last night.
The front cover shows an ariel view of Pittodrie stadium in 1952, the year I was born. Ironic really, on the night that the enthusiasm for the sport finally died here in the North East.
We have a chairman who features in the Sunday Times top earners annual chart, and yet he refuses to give more than a meager amount of to the manager to buy any half decent players. Now I know that money does not always buy success, and we do live in different financial climes, but, we are supposed to be building a brand spanking knew, hi-tech stadium in a couple of years; but what is the point if we have nobody coming to watch. I mean there were only 3,964 fans there last night, a record low for a team that were once voted the best team in Europe. Okay that was in 1983, when the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were victims of our victories, but...
It really does feel like The End Of The World.
