Bees, wasps and ivy

Hectic at work. Another deadline passes....we'll soon be working on 2012 issues of our journals.

Managed a very quick walk today. The sun was out and the ivy flowers were covered in wasps and bees.

There were some different bees popping in and out of the flowers of the himalayan balsam growing on the verges too. They were moving a bit too fast for me but the balsam smelled amazing. Shame it is such an invasive plant.
