Ramblings and Mutterings

What an interesting smell you've discovered!

Back on site today for a Highways Agency Assessment, didn't quite know how the day would go even though we had an agenda, it really depends on the type of assessor. As it was the day went like clockwork, the answers and evidence provided answered all their queries, and they even identified a number of our processes as being industry best practice. You often find in these assessments that if you can provide good strong answers, along with evidence, to their queries the assessors have more confidence in the assessment themselves and are prepared to use a common sense approach. The team did well and we got a great result!

The only downside on the project team's site management was the choice of site compound, slap bang in the middle of a farm yard. On one side we had a barn full of hay stacks and on the other was a stud pen for two young bulls, with the cow herd not that far away. The smell was certainly quite fresh and is a sure fire winner to unblocking anyone?s sinuses. Lol! Star Wars fans will know the title to be a quote from the original Star Wars film, now known as Episode VI New Hope, when Han Solo and co escaped into the trash compactor on the Death Star and he was thanking Princess Leia. To be fair it was quite nice, it really felt as if you were out in the country because you couldn't hear any traffic just birds tweeting.

This little fella was right by the offices, I think he is quite keen to get back amongst the herd and introduce himself to a few females.

A nice early finish and I was back in the house by 5:30pm, the M25 was very kind to me! This makes a nice change!
