Wednesday
Busy day at work - finally got over 1000 certificates and medals from our Summer Reading Challenge out to all the schools. Phew.
Hard work, but well worth it. Those 1110 kids who read six books over the summer holidays did me and themselves proud.
Out in Stalybridge for a drink tonight which was good fun and tried a few pubs I'd not been in before. The Station Pub is almost a mirror image of the station pub in Huddersfield which is a bit disconcerting. No wonder people on the Ale Rail are never quite sure which town they are in!
Tomorrow is our Employability and Skills fair at the library and it's all hands on deck and I'll be getting out of the office! Blip is one of the exhibitors.
A Wednesday quote for a wet Wednesday evening that made me smile
"I don't know what your childhood was like, but we didn't have much money. We'd go to a movie on a Saturday night, then on Wednesday night my parents would walk us over to the library. It was such a big deal, to go in and get my own book"
