Jumpy Great tit
I was stuck in the house for much of the day and whiled away some of the time photographing the visitors to our bird feeder. I was trying to light them with a bit of remotely mounted fill flash and realised 1) they don't like it (unlike the squirrels who were totally unfazed), and 2) they have amazing reactions and can fly away just from the pre-flash used by digital SLR flash systems. Hence I resorted to taking them with the flash level manually set to avoid the pre-flash. Perhaps it was the light from the commander flash, but that was enough to startle this bird into jumping off the bracket it was standing on.
Cropped and adjusted exposure.
