Shale

Went to Mt Rainier today for a good hike and found piles of newly formed shale high up on a ridge. It was so cool, the stacks of freshly split thin layers of rock. The mountain was beautiful as always, and in view for much of the day. It was 2 hours to Sunrise leaving at 6AM, and 2.5 coming home to arrive here at 6PM - we hiked 10 miles so well worth the drive.
