An early morning trip to Kilmacurragh Arboretum yielded this along with quite a few more similar shots. I was experimenting with the new(ish) macro lens, a Tamrom 70-300mm and my new monopod. This is much more convenient than a tripod in some situations and with a little care really does help with the steadiness.

Music gig last night was outstanding. Busy weekend coming up. We are visiting friends tonight and tomorrow we deliver the third of our students to her new accomodation in Dublin. As soon as I get that job completed we are joning a bunch of photo friends for a photo walk through some of Dublin's historic places. Any Dublin based Blippers are welcome. We meet at the Luas stop at Heuston Station at 12 noon. Wear your best walking shoes.
