Hundertwasser Toilets

We took Tiree swimming today to the pool at Kawakawa. It was a good opportunity to pay another visit to the public toilets there, designed by the Austrian artist Frederick Hundertwasser, who made his second home nearby.
Despite the fact they are a tourist attraction (!), it still felt uncomfortable walking in clutching a camera and furtively taking shots inside. Billy Connelly featured them on his last tour of New Zealand and they obviously appealed to his quirky offbeat taste. They are included in most tourist guides, which is just as well as I don't think Kawakawa would be in for any other 'attraction'.
