Festival of Britain 1951

The Festival of Britain took place 60 years ago in 1951.

My parents lived near London and they bought me this tape measure!

The Festival Exhibitions were designed as a tonic for the nation! This was certainly needed in post war Britain!

We are off to Scotland in an hour or so. Ros is selling one of her goat kids!
