Kapari

This is the local caper plant (Capparis Spinosa). Locally, not only are the buds pickled as capers but also the leaves and young stems (complete with thorns) are served, pickled, as an appetiser or with salads.

Luckily there is quite a lot of wild Kapari around so we get to see these beautiful flowers too.

I spent the afternoon in a meeting which continued on Saturday morning, so we stayed overnight in the St Raphael hotel in Limassol. Despite being a 5* hotel, the internet access was only through the television via their keyboard...so this has been backblipped.
