Burning down the house

Last night there was a frantic knocking at the door and windows, when I answered people were screaming at me that our neighbors house was on fire. I had to close the door on the people urging me to get out because Paul was up in the bath and I really wanted to get the cats and shut them in the front room (which is the furthest point away from the burning house).

I couldn't get all the cats and we exited the house as soon as Paul was dressed and spent the next 2 hours on the street watching the neighbors flat go up in flames.

All rather traumatic in all. Luckily no one was hurt and the flames didn't spread over to our home.

This is looking into the room that got burnt out, it's adjacent to our spare room. The windows literally blew out from the flames. Now it's just a burnt out shell.

Thank God for the timely arrival of the fire brigade.
