Seeds and elements...

Just back from a weekend in Glen Prosen, reunited with some wonderful friends. It is such a beautiful part of the world, with forests, a gushing river and hills that roll on for miles. It was also a brilliant time of the year to go - the cusp of autumn. You could smell it in the air as you walked.

I made this wee bouquet of grasses, filling the spaces with thistledown seeds that are bursting out of their pods all over the place. It's hard to convey in the photo, but it was so soft and lovely - the delicate fronds of grass and the seeds held in filaments of light. A bit elemental I suppose.
