On Our Way Home
It's been a very full weekend, and we've met a lot of lovely new people too, as well as managing to catch up with some old friends. A journey up north (for us English types anyhow!) in 'Ringo', with no real plans other than to watch our friend Helen take part in the Great Scottish Swim. We nearly didn't make it due to a slight Ringo malfunction (not his fault - the garage didn't re-wire his wipers in when he had work done last week! We discovered this not far past Lockerbie on our journey from Settle to Glasgow...) luckily we saw her finish (see yesterday's blip). An evening meal with the very welcoming Pauline - who we literally met that morning, and lots of her equally welcoming friends. We also managed to fit in quite a bit of climbing at Ratho too, where we met up with more friends. Ringo even made it home uneventfully - though driving a vehicle that looks like a giant loaf of Hovis through gale force winds on a motorway couldn't really be described as relaxing. Never mind, we made it! It feels like we've had at least two weekends in one, so that can't be bad!
