Shadows

Plans for the day were somewhat disrupted by being on call and having to go into work. A generator test had caused some power failures in one of the main computer rooms and it was a while before everything was back up and running. So Alana missed Music Center where she practices clarinet and because I had the car we had to make other arrangements to get her to a canoe session organised by Guides. It was a case of Grandma to the rescue. A knock on effect of all this was that L only had an hour to get ready for her night out with the girls. Managed to drop her off in time and managed to pick Alana up on time who, by the way, had really enjoyed the canoeing. So a busy day, which means I don't feel so bad about the MacDonalds tea!

The print at the top of the stairs is Venice. One of the most beautiful and wonderful places I have ever been. We visited before the kids came along. Rarely does a place live up to how I imagine it might be, but Venice did.
