Pisac Terraces (Peru 5/16)

We went back to Pisac for a second day in a row - this time, we did what many others recommended, which is to take a taxi up to the top of the ruins, and then hike down. Pisac is an enormous Inka ruin, in fact larger than the more well known Machu Picchu.

The terraces were impressive. The little pimples coming off of the terraces in this shot are actually steps that allowed the Incan people to ascend the terraces.
