Check this out!
Are we not in for a treat this week?
We've been promised an Indian summer and we're off to a very good start. I believe the Indian link has its' origins in America rather than Asian and as long as the weather is this good, I'm happy.
A quick foray out this morning brought out a succession of possible blips and it was hard to decide between the glorious summer sunshine or the autumnal touch.
The local birdlife were singing their hearts out at both scenes and only a few hundred yards distance separated my chosen autumnal shot and this field of corn.
The corn field is growing by a sharp bend in the road and here it is earlier in the year.
As you might expect, the hump back bridge causes no end of traffic problems early in the morning, as folk in their cars jostle for pole position to cross over, although drivers coming down the hill have priority.
Built over 200 years ago, not even two horses and carts could pass at the same time, so it was never really going to get any better!
But, like I say, a good start and the beginning of what, hopefully, will be a sunny week!
Let's enjoy it while it's here!
