Joe & the headless Christ child

This statue is in a niche in our garden. I have no idea how the infant Jesus lost his head, but this was once L'Institut St Joseph - a school. I imagine that a lively game of boules resulted in a mishap with the head. Or maybe it was damaged during the revolution.
