Old Timers

I'm very fond of these 75 year old street lights on a road bridge behind the Europa Hotel in the centre of Belfast. So much so, that I'm surprised I've never Blipped them before. I know this because I checked all 596 entries before posting this one. I may have featured them as an "also-ran" though, as I hadn't time to check those.
They're in an Art Deco style and were made less than a mile from their site in The Millfield Foundry in 1936. I think they should be protected by a formal listing, if they haven't been already - must check that out!

I appreciate that some of my recent Blips have been fairly decrepit scenes of urban decay, so my "also ran" today is for debives who asked for a happier Blip as the old buildings make her sad - happy to oblige, Debs!

Seahorse

This chap almost caused an accident today. It was one of those situations, when Bliphunting, where a sudden glimpse of a golden (sorry!) opportunity meant a stomp on my brakes and a sudden veer to the left to mount the pavement.
