Waiting for the Boat
It was a glorious day today. We were up bright and early as the girls stayed with us overnight for the first time. Mrs R saw to Isla at 615am, and I followed later. Well, quite a bit later.
The weather was perfect and Ollie and I did our loop and he tried yet again to walk the length of the jetty, and failed, just. This shot is taken facing the opposite direction to others from this spot, looking up the inlet towards Kerikeri, the outskirts of which can be seen in the distance on the left.
It was very quiet, and the only people about were this lady, sitting bored waiting for her husband to motor their cabin cruiser in from its mooring. It looked as though they were off for the day somewhere as they towed their tender behind as they motored off.
I have to keep reminding myself that this is late autumn heading into winter !
