Birthday Boy.

On Saturday 17th September Elizabeth and myself traveled to The Ardoe House Hotel on South Deeside to begin the celebrations of our son, Mark's 50th birthday. It really was'nt till Monday but to get a lot of the family together his wife, Caroline arranged for us all to gather in the bar on Saturday and at 5.30pm she Persuaded him to come down for a drink (not too onerous a job) and you should have seen his face when he walked in and found us all there. Once we had had one or two "refreshments" we changed and gathered in the dining room for our meal.
One of his sisters -in-law gave him a present of a box with 50 wrapped presents in it, one of which was the big 50s badge. Had to take a shot of that even though he was fullof emulsion at trhe time. Great night was had by all and we met for breakfast next morning before heading for home or in our case - to Mark and Caroline's home in Montrose where we spent an extremely enjoyable couple of days. Thanks Rosehillrhu and Carro for making this a wonderful celebration for us.
