Happy Birthday MCS

Today our school turned 10 years old and we celebrated with cupcakes for every child!

We have planned a big event which will take place on Friday and today we had a dress rehearsal for this formal assembly! Judging from our rehearsal Its going to be a very special occasion! I already had tears and goosebumps today.

Our school is very unique for many reasons, but mostly because of the enthusiasm and commitment of the teachers and staff. Everybody is here with the same purpose - to give the children the best opportunity possible. The 280 children at this school do not yet realise how fortunate they are to be learners at a school which is completely focused on each individual child's best interest. We say words like "Every child matters" and mean it!

My association with the school is only 3 years long but the dramatic changes and improvements that have been made in that time are just awesome. I am so proud to be a part of MCS and several times a week I am able to introduce the school to prospective parents. I am not really a salesman but when you truly believe in something iit actually sells itself.

The day ended with the beginning of another celebration. At sunset the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashana began. A wonderful time to get together with family and celebrate, through food, a renewal of our spiritual connection.

Wishing my special Mr G and beautiful children a sweet new year. Tonight we will start our meal by eating apples dipped in honey to ensure that we do have a sweet year!
