Zoo day

Had a great day at the Zoo day before yesterday. So this is a back blip :) we went early in the morning with my good friend J. She was so nice to invite my Granddaughter H and I to go w/her. Alot of the animals were very active. Like this Polar Bear. So beautiful!
I love the Zoo, but The larger animals don't have enough space. The Elephants are getting 6 acres (they have 1-1/5 for 7 of them!!) within the next 1-2 years, which will be awsome! That's a long time to wait though. I feel badly that they can't roam free in their own environment. These beautiful creatures weren't created to live behind walls and plexi glass. I do realize it's necessary for alot of them, b/c they have been rescued and can't be released back into the wild. I still think it's sad. I look at some of them and they seem to be saying w/their eyes, please set me free :( I wonder if it is better to be dead and free or alive in captivity. Anyway, hope everyone had a goodday!
