Hand dryer

So this is a new type of hand dryer in the community college ladies room. I have never see one of these. Usually you push a button, put your hands under a warm blast of air and poof! Dry hands. This one, you stick your hands in, fingers down and a very strong, cool blast of air drys them off. I prefer the older model. Seems more sanitary.
However, does it really matter in the long run?
