Is it?

I certainly don't like it when graffiti turns up on old sandstone buildings, I don't mind it so much when it is on concrete or in this instance a parking meter. However, I would like the graffiti to have something to say to look interesting and not to be defaced. So in the instance of this blip I would have probably thought that only the white text could have been considered art, the lilac splurge on its own too but the two combined don't look like art at all. Although yet again, if it had been on a canvas in an art gallery I might have thought differently. Hm, that's probably why street art is a controversial subject.
