Here's Matthew at 7:30 this morning.

He's wearing the WWII gas mask that he made in school. Yesterday their teacher set off a siren recording and they had to put on their gas masks and go to their shelter (under their desk).

He's carrying a bottle of his George's Marvellous Medicine which he made to take into the school's Roald Dahl Day event today.

He's using oven gloves because he'd just been making pear crumble, to take it into school. This week's homework was to research and make a WWII dish.

Being an old fashioned dragon mum, I tested him on this week's spelling words as all this was going on. Well, you never know, spelling might be handy, too!
