Sunrise or sunset?

It is said that light from the sun reaches us in just over 8 minutes, but that we are looking at this sunrise with light that was created thousands of years ago from within the core of the sun. Ponder on that one for just a moment.

Mostly hydrogen gas, if anything happened to it we would definitely be up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

The view from my chosen hill at around 7.00 a.m. this morning was stunning and the only people going slow enough to enjoy were two joggers and a cyclist (well, he was going uphill at the time). The rest were mostly farmers in a hurry, who have no time to stand and stare. Fortunately for me, this morning, I did.
