Let the Countdown Begin!

This morning I had to make an emergency run to the mall for a nail treatment because YIKES! All this gorgeous nail polish is causing horrific breaking and peeling. I also treated myself to my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season on my way back to the car, since
1) It's finally October!
2) The weather is finally cold enough to justify pumpkin spice-flavored things.
and
3) Today is the first day of sketch editing, so I needed caffeine.

As I turned to walk out, I discovered that the new Disney Store is directly across from Starbucks in that mall! I have a confession to make: I'm a huge Disney geek. We live so close that my family have gone once a year for most of my life. When my brother and I were high school/college students, we went 3-4 times a year. Contrary to popular belief, Disney World is the perfect place for a disparate group like a family with teenagers - you can charge anything with your room key (so you don't have to stay with your parents for money), there are buses/trains/boats running everywhere (so you don't need your parents to drive you)...everyone can go where they want, when they want. It's a great way to spend time with a lot of people without getting sick of any of them ;)

These days I appreciate the trips more because my brother has moved 4 hours away and I'm so busy that I don't see my parents as often as I used to (and I definitely don't get much time/money for vacations). So I'm very excited to be Disney-bound on the 18th of this month. My brother's even going to join us for 3 days!

So I decided to stroll through the Disney Store, smell the patented Disney smell, idly watch a little of the cartoon that was playing in the back, and think about how great this month is going to be. I'm excited!
