The day the rain fritzed my camera
While the south may be baking, here it has rained copiously. And some.
I had the chance of a couple of hours of freedom in Eglinton park this morning while Shortie was at her first Acorn Club meeting (for budding young bug botherers).
I set off gamely enough, ready for the rain in waterproof jacket and wellies. It didn't stop pouring for the full two hours, or even ease up just a wee bit.
If I'm honest, the fun went out of this adventure round about the time that I realised that my jacket was leaking, but not before I had been a bit too cavalier in whipping the camera out... It finally took the huff and stopped working after one raindrop too many.
It's dried out now, and I've downloaded a lot of rain speckled, shakey shots. Ironically I've chosen what I think is one of the very first ones I took.
