camera shy bird of paradise

...but i just rather liked the soft light shining through the leaves.

so, here's the first blip from Liverpool Hospital. we're staying in temporary accommodation here while we look for a more permanent place in Sydney itself. M starts work here in ICU on tuesday. the accommodation isn't exactly salubrious - more akin to old halls of residence. but if i get desperate arty then i might take a monochrome, grainy shot of cell block H our building. tbh, other than the drive into the city, it's working out just fine given how expensive Sydney is, and how close M will be to get to work for the first wee while.

however, i'm not a medic and hospitals are not exactly my favourite enviroment! these bright birds of paradise flowers which line a wee corridor are therefore a lovely bright and natural addition to their otherwise fairly bland surroundings.

fairly lazy day for the first time since we arrived. holiday monday here tomorrow. probably head back into sydney for another explore before M goes back to the reality of work.

it's great to be here and we're so excited to have summer ahead of us.
