Well who'd have thought that we'd have the paddling pool out and still be BBQ-ing on 1st October?

A lovely afternoon spent watching kids do what kids do well - run, bounce, splash, yell, eat! While the grown ups sat back and did what we do well - talk, drink and put the world to rights.

We all lasted longer outside than the kids did and they retreated inside to curl up under a blanket - little boys are little old men just waiting to get out - thankfully it wasn't tartan.
