Westward Ho...!!

After a couple of hours relief work this afternoon I headed home, relaxed with a coffee, made a couple of phone calls then decided that a walk was in order.

I had the intention of going to my dog-beach but something along the way changed my mind and I instead detoured for a walk round the perimeter of the airport. The airport sits right on the coastline and butts on to Nelson Golf Club too so I figured there'd be a bit of interest along the way.........

Sadly, my sense of time appears to be completely non-existent.

I found myself all too quickly on the far side of the airport and in complete darkness after the sun did it's "I'm off to the other side" trick. (Of course I understand the need not to have any extra lighting around an airport runway! Don't want planes getting disoriented as they're coming in to land do we?!!).

Oops!!

I managed to stumble my way back to my car having snapped this sign along the way. At least I'll know where to find the 12th hole if i ever decide to go play a round at Nelson Golf Club!!
