Cuttlefish

On our last day of diving, we did two dives on the reefs in front of the dive centre. On both of these dives we found a cuttlefish after about 50 minutes in the water, and extended our dive to stay and watch them. This one hung out with us for about 15 minutes!

Before this trip, we had never seen a cuttlefish, but they are really fascinating creatures. They seem curious about what this strange, large bubbling creature is! This one flashed different patterns across its body, and assumed different postures, as if seeing how we would react. Watching their skin change colour and texture before your eyes is amazing!
