Pressed for time

This screw from an old wine press has been recycled, many years ago, and used as a beam across the entrance to this garage/workshop. A rustic contrast to yesterday's building style. I've had my eye on it for a while waiting to see it in sunlight and there it was this morning. I took photos of the whole doorway too, with the small inner door open in the rough old wood and a very new, white net curtain hanging across it, but it didn't work well because there was so much shadow in the narrow street.....another time, perhaps.

The detail, including woodworm holes, is quite nice in LARGE

Term starts today with the first Occitan class of the new year. I hope I haven't forgotten everything!
