Venetian Shadows

I am intrigued by my shaving gel. It is a new flavour, not my regular brand. It is bright blue in gel form, but turns to white in foam form when lathered on my face.

How can this be?

What happens to the blueness?

Is there a blue residue left in my wrinkles? or does the blue just disappear in the ether?

I cannot remember being taught about this in my science lessons at school. Or perhaps I was, and I missed it in a teenage day dream about breasts!

and now I remain forever ignorant about blue shaving gel and it is all Vicky Todd's fault because her blouse was too tight!

There is a lesson here somewhere, but I don't think it is one I will deliver in an assembly.
