Snail-stones
This dry-stone seat was built by our vineyard volunteers a couple of years ago. Not satisfied by tackling a really difficult shape (trapezoid!) they also decided to decorate it. I love the idea that inside some of these stone slabs there might be snail fossils too.
This lovely seat overlooks the village of Caux and Josh's Field which ripples with waves of tall grasses in the spring breezes. It's a favourite stopping place for walkers.
