Slate

These are the roof tiles on the building opposite ours.

It almost looks like a drystone dyke.

I like the higgledy piggledy patchwork of colours and textures.

If you look carefully you'll be able to see the odd missing tile - after heavy winds they're usually found smashed to smithereens on the pavement below...
