Reflective Doorway

What to write about this door?
Or any door for that matter, since it is just a door.

But this door caught my attention as it is located on a street with many not so nice doors, and doors that are just utilitarian, and doors that have seen too much use, and doors that don't work as doors any more.

This door stopped me in my tracks as it was a door made of high quality materials, and was in excellent repair. It is a very shiny door, shiny as in highly-reflective. The materials of the high-polished granite stone around the door were as reflective as the door itself which was stained and then coated and polished to a very smooth, and nice to touch finish. The granite was even clean (I touched it). No dirt, no grime, no on-the-street buildup of street ick. Everything around this door was reflected in the door. For 10 feet or so (the width of this entry space) the street took on a whole different feel, a classy feel, a high quality feel.

Anyway, enough about this door. Except this ~
It reminded me of a thought that I have often had, which is this ~ what if every job was done to its very very best with the best materials, and the best workmanship, and even some love, I think the quality of our world would vastly improve, and if nothing more, it would at least be a place where it was really nice to be.

That is where this door lead me this morning. Have a good one!
