Fish'n Chips

After two dreich days, this morning was veyy pleasant so we took off and headed up the coast for the day. First stop was Mangonui, which we really like, a small fishing village with a harbour and a lot of Heritage buildings, many with balconies. It is also the home of a famous ( world famous so they say !) fish and chip shop. They still cook in animal fat so it was not for us !
After a stroll round Mangonui we headed up to the Karikari peninsula. Another favourite and we found afew new spots where we haven't been before.
The showers that were forecast didn't happen until tonight, but more are forecast tomorrow !
