How not to photograph the moon
1. Decide to photograph the moon.
2. Go outside. Take photos.
3. Go inside. Download photos. Discover you can't do long exposures hand-held.
4. Find tripod.
5. Fight to put tripod up.
6. Fight with camera attachment on tripod.
7. Finally get camera fixed to tripod. Turn camera on, discover battery is now flat.
8. Fight to remove camera from tripod.
9. Change battery.
10. Repeat step 6.
11.Take photos.
12. Go inside. Repeat step 8. Download photos. Discover night setting results in moon photos that are mostly dark except for the moon itself, which is just a mess of totally blown highlights.
13. Use google to find out how to take moon photos.
14. Go outside. Discover moon has completely vanished behind thick cloud.
15. Curse.
16. Fight to get tripod back into its carrying bag.
17. Briefly consider posting a rubbish shot but pride intervenes. Blip 'just in case' photo taken earlier.
