Does anyone know what this is?

I've only ever noticed this plant in one place - near the stage door of the Merlin Theatre in Frome. (Not that I normally lurk by stage doors, it's just that the place where I work shares the same car park!) Can anyone tell me what it is? I'd love to get one for the garden.

After the awful weather of the past few days, the sun has come out - hurray, it's still summer!

UPDATE: it's a Leycesteria formosa (Pheasant Berry).
