Mostly quite mundane

Apocalypse at teatime

This odd lenticular-type cloud formation had an apocalyptical (is that even a word?) air to it when I looked out of my fourth floor office window. It nicely illustrates the sense of unease I have around our increasingly strange weather and the seismic stuff that's going on among the western economies.

I have a feeling about things that I've never had before. All the old familiarities and certainties seem suddenly to be dissipating. Everything about life and the world has an oddness I don't recall from years gone by.

We're a great species. For all we know, the absolute pinnacle of of intelligence in the universe (though I do hope not). But we don't half mess things up sometimes.

Noticing images in the sky like this serves only to increase my constant undercurrent of disturbance.

The clouds continued to morph after this, into an equally strange and very dark 'mackerel' effect.

I'm not remotely religious, in the theism sense, although I suppose I am a bit of an old hippy. But I do keep thinking 'something' is about to wake us up and make us question everything.

Oh what a load of old tosh. It's just a vaguely interesting photo of the sky. Probably.
