Damems
A strange sounding place but if you have been on the Worth Valley Railway (Railway Children) you will have seen Damems Station. Here it is looking beautifully kept.
I wasn't on the railway but walking the second half of the Worth Way from Haworth Station to Hainworth Village above Keighley and much of it follows the line. We walked the firs half back at the end of August when we started out across the moors enjoying the heather in full bloom.
Today started bright and breezy and I enjoyed the walk to this point but the remainder of Damems Lane was very wet and then it was along the main road to Ingrow and a steep climb back up to Hainworth. The weather deteriorated too and the path at the end had been messed about by a farmer so we got lost. We finished up being almost helped over a fence by two very large, over friendly carthorses!
