A Goat In A Bush?
These rocks intrigue me (which I now learn are Thimble Stones, Ilkley Moor). You can see where they were dragged along the glacier floor millions of years ago leaving - all the scars on their surface. There are a number on the moor but I love visiting the Norber Erratics. They are really interesting and look like they have been dumped their by some giant creature playing golf!
I had two encounters on the moor this evening. One was a woman saying she could hear a goat in re bracken and asked if it was mine.....I said no at which point Mr B jumped up at her and knocked her flying. I saw an empty bottle of vodka nearby.....
My second encounter was slightly nicer but I'll leave that one as a secret I think!
I mentioned a few blips ago about how protective Ilkleyites are over their wheelie bins...well today I came back to a 'communal' note saying that we now HAVE to mark our own bins and sort them out ourselves. I was straight out there with my marker pen. I only generate 1 bag of rubbish a week anyway so I'm chuffed!
Oh and lastly I forgot how much I love walking at dusk and dawn and it gets better every day.
Right off to buy a fun wheelie bin sticker off eBay
And that's today one through the looking glass
PS glad you all approved of our new site. Our Yorkshire and Welsh ones are up and running too but still work needs to be done for the other regions.
